All right, everyone, my Patreon has finally arrived!
It’s a bit sparse over there at the moment, but I’m working on it. If you sign up today you’ll have immediate access to the Prologue and Chapter 1, Part 1 of Aquila’s War, with more to follow tomorrow. It’ll be another month before you’ll get that here or on Wattpad, so if you can’t wait for more Mhysra and Co, this is the place to go.
Before I explain the tiers in more detail there are a couple of things to point out:
- You need to be over 13 to open a Patreon account, and over 18 to support anyone. If you are under 18, you will need your parent/guardian’s permission.
- All pledges are listed in US$ and exclusive of VAT. Please factor that in when picking your tier. It will tell you exactly how much you’ll be paying (in US$) before you commit, but it’s still nice to know in advance. If you need to work out your own currency rate, xe.com can help.
- This is a monthly charge. You can change your tier up or down, leave or join at any time. Some things will be time dependent, but others will remain available for the foreseeable future. Just remember that you pay up front, so if you’re going to leave, do it towards the end of the month so you get the full benefits :)

Tier One: Nimbys Citizen
($1 per month)
Each month you will get:
- Early access to the latest Wingborn Serial
Currently this is Aquila’s War (Wingborn #5) and you’ll be able to read it a month ahead of all the free versions. Posts as usual every Friday and Sunday.
Please note: serial chapters on this tier will be available only while it remains free on other platforms. As soon as the ebook comes out they will be locked for Tier 2 and above. (Exactly the same as it is for here and Wattpad.) - Access to Patron-only posts
This will include short stories and drabbles, many of which will be exclusive to Patreon, plus behind-the-scenes posts about characters and stories, latest WIP updates and older versions of the Wingborn series (which I may regret revealing). These will not have a time limit.
Tier 2: Aquila Resident
($3 per month)
Each month you will get:
- Unlimited early access to the latest Wingborn Serial
- Access to Patron-only posts
- Access to Monthly Request posts
This is where I ask you what you’d like to see me write next, and I will comply to the best of my ability. No promises, because sometimes my Ima muse won’t bite, but I’ll do my best. It could be short stories or drabbles, behind-the-scenes stuff or slice of life. Whatever takes you interest, let me know, and I’ll see what I can do.
Tier 3: Rift Rider Student
($5 per month)
Each month you will get:
- Unlimited early access to the latest Wingborn Serial
- Access to Patron-only posts
- Access to Monthly Request posts
- Ebook versions of all my* new releases
*as produced solely and independently by me. Which is basically everything at the moment, but you never know what’ll happen in the future. The next few months are pretty busy too, so you should get a book a month for 3 months or so. Actually, four books, since my release schedule should be Cloud Cursed, Storm Wings, Dragonlands Vol. 1 (Blazing Dawn, Storm Rising, Cloud Cursed). Offer only valid for books released after you sign up.
Tier 4: Rift Rider
($10 per month)
Each month you will get:
- Unlimited early access to the latest Wingborn Serial
- Access to Patron-only posts
- Access to Monthly Request posts
- Ebook versions of all my new releases
- Choose one (1) free ebook from my back catalogue for every three (3) months you’re signed up to this tier.
This is an awkward one, I know. My back catalogue currently has 12 books and 4 freebies. More to come pretty soon.
I hope to add more to this tier when I think of something appropriate and not too costly. Ideas welcome!
Tier 5: Rift Rider Lieutenant
($15 per month)
Each month you will get:
- Unlimited early access to the latest Wingborn Serial
- Access to Patron-only posts
- Access to Monthly Request posts
- Ebook versions of all my new releases
- Choose one (1) free ebook from my back catalogue for every three (3) months you’re signed up to this tier.
- Your name in the Acknowledgements section of my new releases.
Obviously this only applies to books released after you sign up. You choose how your name appears – your full name, initials, pseudonym, your choice.
To be honest this is only a placeholder tier. In the future I hope to add paperback versions of my books, but the price will have to rise for that (especially to cover international postage). However, since I don’t know how long it will take me to sort those out, I’m not comfortable charging for it yet. But if you sign up to this tier now, I will definitely have a copy of my first paperback with your name on it come the eventual time.
Tier 6 + possibly 7: Rider Captain and Magnificent Miryhl
These are future tiers with pricing to be determined. They will include the aforementioned paperbacks and longer story commission/requests. Spots might be limited. I won’t know until I get there. I’m hoping for some other fun merchandise too, but we’ll see how we go. If you’re really interested in this tier, let me know, and maybe we can work something out.
