Wingborn Sale!
Not only is Broken Ground on sale until Sunday, but now the entire Wingborn series is too!
From now until Wednesday, May 6th, books 2-5 will be 0.99 each (or a low local equivalent). Book 1, Wingborn, is still free everywhere except Amazon. The ebooks themselves are available pretty much everywhere I can put them, including Google Play.
Book 6, World’s End, is still available to read as a free serial here, on Wattpad and on Patreon. I’ll probably be taking that down around May 6th too, as the ebook should follow soon after.
If you’ve read all of those and still want more of the Wingborn bunch, Aftermath is a super-extended epilogue that I’m currently serialising exclusively over on Patreon. You can sign up to read it there, or wait a little longer and get the ebook when it follows after World’s End.
I don’t generally put this series on sale, because I start off giving them away for free anyway, but this time seemed as good as any. So if you’ve missed one or more of them and have been looking for something to read right now, here you go!
And if you prefer to wait for the paperback versions, hopefully they will be along some time this year. It is on the list of things to tackle, but then so are many, many other things. BUT I am getting to it, I promise.

Welcome along to the start of a new series and a new world! The Mages of Royas Bay (Book 1 of the Mages of Wrystan series) is another high fantasy world, but with magic, mages and mage-beasts. It also has knights, witches and other interesting things thrown in along the way.
I used to class it as MG, since the characters are a little young for YA. However, as you’ll see by the end of this chapter, things are a little dark at times, so I’ll say it’s teen fantasy and leave it at that.
As this is a bit shorter than the Wingborn books, updates will be Fridays only, unless I feel the need to speed things up. More information can be found on the Serial page. Hope you enjoy it!

Quick Question (and a Poll)
Is there anything I can do to help you right now? In reading/escapist terms, that is.
It’s a tough time for many, lots of people are scared and worried, others are fed up of being stuck indoors, and there’s never a bad time to read more books, right? So here are my plans or potential offerings. Feel free to add your own thoughts below. And don’t forget to vote in the poll at the end!
- Sale!
This would be a sale on the Dragonlands books for two weeks, including making Blazing Dawn free for the duration (everywhere except Amazon). It should also, hopefully, tie in with the release of Book 5. After that I’ll do a two week sale on the Wingborn series. After that… we’ll see. - New serial!
While I would love to make this Aftermath, the bonus Wingborn novella, I’ve promised that to my Patreons. I would also love to make this the new Overworld series, but that isn’t close to being ready to enter the world. Instead this will be a new series, from a new world, but still hopefully every bit as enjoyable as the Rift Riders. Personally I love the characters in the Mages of Royas Bay, and I’m hoping you will too. - Both is good!
- OR Something completely new and entirely fluffy!
I can’t actually make any promises about this because I’m busy with editing right now, but wouldn’t it be nice to read something where nothing bad happens? I don’t write these sorts of stories often, except as very short things, but it’d be nice to give it a go. It would probably be a weekly update and I’m not at all sure what it would be about. I have been considering writing a Rhiddyl adventure novella to explain how she runs away from the Cleansed Lands to join the Rift Riders, but I’m not sure if I could spin that out for very long.
If you have a suggestion/request, feel free to post below. It might spark an idea in the brain, although I can’t promise it.
