What’s Coming Up?

I know it’s been a while, so for anyone short on time here are the main points about which I’ll ramble more below.

  • Cloud Cursed (Dragonlands #3) will finally be released on September 7th!
  • Storm Riders (Wingborn #4) will follow on October 5th. The free serial posts will also be removed then, because…
  • Aquila’s War (Wingborn #5) serial will start, here and Wattpad, on October 5th!
  • If, however, you cannot wait that long, I will start posting it on Patreon from next Friday, August 31st!

That’s the short stuff out of the way. Now for the detail.

Cloud Cursed 3This book has been a very long time coming, for which I can only apologise. This year hasn’t gone at all the way I planned, but I’m trying very hard to get back on track.

Full information and pre-order links will hopefully go up next week, along with the first few chapters.

It will also be on offer: $.99 for all pre-orders and the first week of release. Thank you for being patient!

The omnibus version of books 1-3 will follow in the next few months, so if you’d rather wait for all three at once (Blazing Dawn, Storm Rising and Cloud Cursed), you can.

Storm Wings Cover 1

Thanks also go to everyone who read through Storm Wings. I truly appreciate each and every one of you!

Pre-order links will go up after Cloud Cursed is finished with, and it will also be on offer until release day. I don’t normally like having my releases so close together, but I couldn’t delay Cloud Cursed any longer.

Aquila's War Cover 1I hope you’re as excited for the next phase of Mhysra & Co’s journey as I am. Unlike books 1-4, which I wrote years ago and haven’t really changed, Aquila’s War and World’s End were both written within the last year. I really hope you like it.

As mentioned above, I’m starting a Patreon page offering early access to AW, along with plenty of other things. The page itself isn’t ready yet, but I’ll let you know as soon as it is.

It isn’t exclusive – not for the Wingborn series – because I totally understand that not everyone can pay for it. However, I will have plenty of other fun and exclusive things for those who can and/or want to support my writing in this way.

And that’s about it for the moment. Proper links and things will follow in due course. It’s going to be a busy couple of months for me, but I also hope to get firmly back into writing at some point so that by the time NaNoWriMo rolls around I’ll be ready for it.

In the meantime, thanks for sticking around. I hope life and the universe are treating you kindly.

Take care, my lovelies!

Spring Forth!

A little later than planned, spring is finally springing up all around me, and I’ve at last compiled the first three Wingborn books into one handy box set! Which I’ve rather snappily titled Wingborn Series Volume 1: Wingborn, Rift Riders and Dragongift.

Wingborn Boxset 2If you haven’t bought them yet, or you just prefer to have them all rounded up in one easy to find file, then this is for you, my friend.

It’s available at – or soon will be – all the usual places, and there’s a bit of a discount on the individual list prices, so hopefully someone will find it a bargain.

Smashwords || B&N || iBooks || Kobo
Amazon: US || UK || AUS || CAN || DE

I’ve also updated the individual books. Mostly typo-catching and tidying up a few mistakes here and there. Like the massive mistake I’d been writing with for years and hadn’t even noticed – that Half-Year wasn’t actually at the half year point because I had my months mixed up *headdesk* But I’ve fixed it now and the year ends a month later than it used to. Possibly no one would ever have noticed, but I did and it’s been bugging me ever since.

The uploads went nice and smooth until the last one, when I really should have remembered that uploading anything to Smashwords is usually best done in the morning. Otherwise it seems to take ages and weird little errors creep in here and there for no apparent reason. Particularly in Rift Riders. I don’t know what it is with that book, but by the time I called it a night, I was pretty much sobbing like Gollum.

Gollum I hate you gifAnd when I checked my email a little later to find that it had already started shipping to all the other non-Smashwords sites in the fastest approval I’ve ever had… let’s just say I wasn’t exactly gleeful.

Thankfully it was a pretty easy fix, so no hobbits needed to be harmed. This time.

Anyway that’s another thing ticked off the list. Next up will be finishing the Wingborn Aftermath novella, then a return to the Dragonlands to write book 4, edit 1-3, relaunch the series and release book 3. I’m also getting vague ideas for a foundation of Aquila tale, but I think I already have enough on my plate so it might have to stay vague a little while longer. It might also be nice to write something away from the Overworld for a change.

Plus there are dogs to walk, cats to cuddle, orchids to rescue, gardens to revive and the usual mix of real life worries and dramas to deal with. Which means life is pretty much continuing as usual really.

I hope that, wherever you are in the world, life is treating you kindly and the seasons are turning in expected and manageable ways. Have a good weekend, everyone!

Dragongift is Coming

Available now to buy from Smashwords and coming soon to everywhere else, the ebook of Dragongift is out!

Which means you will no longer be able to read the whole thing for free either here or on Wattpad. Sorry about that.

However, if you grab a copy between now and the end of the year, you can get it for only 0.99. You can also now add/review it on Goodreads if you’d like.

Full post with all the links to come as and when they go up.

Merry Midweek, everyone!

Storm Rising

Storm Rising 5

Trouble stirs in the Dragonlands and Elder Khennik kin Blazeborn seems trapped at the very heart of it. After a disastrous stay with the Stormdrake kin, it’s time for the human delegation to visit the Skystorm Clan, yet their welcome is less friendly than anticipated.

Whispers and accusations fly, but something is definitely not right inside the Clan. And with the Dragon Moot fast approaching, can the Rift Riders and dragons sort things out swiftly enough to save the Khennik from another catastrophe?

Pre-Order Links and Round-Up

Storm Rising 5 Merry Monday, everyone!

Just a quick little update today to say that you can now pre-order Storm Rising all over the place.

Amazon: US || UK || AUS || DE || CAN
|| B&N || iBooks || Kobo ||

From now, right up to next Wednesday (13th Sept) you can also get it at the lowest discounted price. Most places that should be 0.99, but some might be a little higher (Amazon US, for some reason, likes to hover around $1.25) and Kobo might even have it a little lower.

So if you want the next in the Dragonlands series as soon as it comes out – this Wednesday! – go grab it now while it’s cheap!

Courtship

In other news, iTunes has finally put A Courtship of Dragons up, so if that’s your preferred ebook shop, you can go grab it for FREE right now.

I’ve also finally posted a proper Courtship Portal Page, which has all the necessary information and links that you might need for that book.

Elsewhere, things have been so busy around here all summer that I’m looking forward to having a bit of downtime. But I’ve also been planning what’s yet to come, for this year and beyond.

Right now I’m focusing on Dragonlands #4, but before the end of the year I hope to have finished the Dragongift serial and prepped that for release (ETA: beginning of December), started posting Storm Wings (Wingborn #4) and also have tackled NaNo (Wingborn #5). Then in January, Dragonlands #3 should be released. So a busy few months lie ahead.

For this week, though, I’m planning to read a lot, replace the shelf that fell off the wall this morning, find a new home for all the heavy books and get back into some sort of normal routine.

Ha! Wish me luck.

September 6th 2017

I’m working on pre-order links right now. More info to come when I get them. And it’ll be on offer too, so if you’ve been waiting, watch this general direction for links, the first few chapters and all the important information.

But mostly, yay, it’s finally on it’s way. Only a week to go!

Courtship is Out!

Okay, so strictly speaking it’s been out for over a week, but regardless of all that, or if you hadn’t noticed yet…

Courtship 7Dragonlands #1.5

Friends and lovers have always come easily to Estenarven kin Boulderforce, until Mastekh. For the first time in over three hundred years, Estenarven has found a dragon that matters. Now all he has to do is convince him.

Mastekh kin Rainstorm doesn’t expect much from life; he mostly wants to be left alone. Until Estenarven leaves a gift on his pillow. For the first time someone is paying attention to Mastekh, but can this shy, downtrodden dragon ever learn to trust another – and himself – enough to give in to life, joy… and maybe even love?

Warning! This M/M romantic side-adventure contains a watery dragon with no confidence and a stone-stubborn Boulderforce with confidence enough for two. May also contain an interfering Starshine, a slightly perplexed Blazeborn and kissing. Enjoy!

Free to download now!

|| Smashwords || B&N || iBooks || Kobo ||

Currently I have no plans to release it on Amazon, since I cannot make the book free there. If people really want a kindle/mobi version, Smashwords has it or you can leave me a comment or send me an email and I’ll send you a nicer mobi version.

iBooks/iTunes link to come when it actually bothers to appear. This was one of the reasons I left this a while before posting, but even still, Apple is lagging behind. I guess because it’s free. Ah well.

Anyway, you can still read the weekly updates if you prefer and I’ll be making a proper landing page so it will continue to be available free right here – and soon on Wattpad too. However, if you’re fed up of waiting for the ending or prefer to read in places other than online, now you can!

Plus, look, a real cover with a little Esten and Mastekh! Both of which were designed by and can be found on the brilliant Freepik.

Wingborn is Out!

Wingborn Cover 3I’m fairly sure some people have already noticed this but…

It’s out!

You can now get your own free ebook copy, which has been typo-checked and slightly edited since the serial.

Find it free at Smashwords, where you can get epub, mobi and pdf formats, amongst others.

More free links to come when they’re available.

It’s also up on Amazon, but as always, the only way I can guarantee it being free is to have it exclusively on Amazon. Since I’m not going to do that, you may have to pay for it. If you buy through Amazon. If you do want a copy for your kindle, the free Smashwords mobi should work just fine (even if it did frustrate me to no end when I was sorting it out yesterday, so it had better be okay!).

It’s also up on Goodreads if you want to add it to your reading list or leave a review… which would be amazing if you could. Hint hint.

More links to come (including the Amazon ones) in a few days when they’re all up and available and I’ve had more than four hours sleep and so am less like a zombie.

Merry Tuesday, all!
